Printing Patient Statements

You can set up LabManager to print a Patient Statement by default when you Book Out Complete a job, or you can print one off at any time by bringing up the completed job onto the screen and pressing F5 or clicking the printer icon on the toolbar.

If you're not seeing a Patient Statement as an available option in either the "Confirm action" Book Out Job Completed window (when you complete a job) or the list of available reports in the Print window, you can add it to the list through the Printing Rules page of the Setup Wizard.

  • Click the Tools menu > Control Centre
  • Click on Setup Wizard at the top left
  • Click Printing Rules in the vertical menu along the left side of the window

  • Change the Action/State box to "Action: Book Out Completed"
  • Click the round green plus icon
  • Select the Patient Statement in the Report box of the window that appears
  • Select the appropriate output channel in the Send To box. (ie. Printer), then click OK

  • Change the Action/State box to "Action: Print, Job State: Booked Out Completed"
  • Click the round green plus icon
  • Select the Patient Statement in the Report box of the window that appears
  • Select the appropriate output channel in the Send To box. (ie. Printer), then click OK

  • Click Close to close the Control Centre

If you want to print all your Patient Statements off for the month in one go, you could set your "Send To" boxes (in the steps above) to send the Patient Statement to "File PDF (c:\transactor\files)" and this will create Adobe PDF copies of the Patient Statements in your Transactor/Files folder on your C: drive. At the end of the month you can go into the folder and print these off by selecting all the ones you need printing, then right clicking on the selection and clicking Print.
