Can't edit internal notes. and how big are they?

How big is the "Internal Note" section ? The current one is very small. Often you need to update comments on a job if its going out to a client and coming back, etc, or if you just want to have notes about a job.It needs to tab to a whole new page for this funtion, or have pretty endless scrole feature.
Description: The Job Note can now be edited at all times, regardless of job state. Also a pop up editor allows entry or pasting from clipboard, upto 250 characters.

With 707, you are able to edit a note on a booked our completed job, although the function is a little tucked away. With the note selected on your job, go to the Tools menu, then Utilities, then choose "Edit Note row regardless of job state". You could also press the key combination Ctrl+L to do the same thing.
On 708 this function is moved to a more convenient position. You can right mouse click on a note row on the job and select "Edit row regardless of job state"

A further point, is that often after an invoice has been raised, I have needed to view the 'notes' that print on the actual invoice (not internal job notes). However you are unable to do this unless you 'void' the invoice. You can view 'images' after the event but not 'notes'.

250 characters is still not really enough, when you have complicated cases that you need to keep full notes on. can this box hold limitess text?

You should be able to click into the Internal Notes box and add or edit the text regardless of the State of job.
In v7.00 (beta) there's an issue in that you can't edit the Internal Notes after the Job is Completed. (Fixed for v7.01)
The size of the Internal Notes, currently about 200 characters in v7.00 (beta). we intend to make this unlimited by v7.1 along with allowing modification at any stage.
