Is there any way I can put a block on specific dates on the calendar so they can’t be booked in on i.e. bank holiday?

Weekends can be blocked automatically, and other days can be marked as blocked through the due date calendar. -

Planned features for the calendar /picker object. a) Ability to 'block out' non-working days. ad-hoc. b) ability to 'block out' non-working days by clicking 'Set a Series' and choosing 'All Saturdays' between X and Y dates. (ditto any day of the week). c) the automatic job due date 'guesser' to skip non-working days. and another possible.. c) Job Due Date not selectable if it is 'blocked out'. Is item c) desirable ?. Perhaps it should just issue a warning but still allow that date to be chosen?

Yes the job due date, when your booking in large amounts of work its really difficult to keep checking back to what dates we are closed.
